A Conversation on the “Transition of Power”: Building a Leadership Legacy Series

Wednesday April, 7, 2010
The Hub Cira Centre, 2929 Arch Street, Mezzanine Level
Philadelphia, PA 19104
6:00pm – 9pm

According to the Gilburg Leadership Institute’s article, Building a Leadership Legacy, The U.S. is on the brink of an unprecedented leadership transition as the nation prepares for the next generational shift. As the aging Baby Boom Generation (Americans who were born between 1943 and 1960) moves towards retirement and is followed by the successive Generation “X” (Americans born between 1961 and 1981), what is becoming statistically clear is that companies, organizations and government agencies will suffer the consequences of playing “catch-up” in a complex global marketplace. Leaders need to take a hard look at how they are training future leaders and transferring crucial knowledge.

The Urban Philly Professional Network invites you to engage in a thought provoking Conversation on the “Transition of Power” moderated by Jeff Johnson.

Jeff Johnson is a Washington, DC based award-winning journalist, social activist and political commentator. From his celebrated conversations with marquee world figures in the political, business and entertainment arenas to his grass-roots trench work to inspire the next generation of leaders; investigative journalist, political correspondent, and activist, Jeff continues to be a trailblazing social entrepreneur and authentic voice for change. Currently, Jeff is a commentator on the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show tackling issues on politics, entertainment and social policy issues.
